Our training philosophy: strength, habits and consistency
Iokepa Bahilot · Oct 19, 2026 · 5 min read

I started coaching in 2010 and have coached over 15,000 sessions since. The programs at Elite Fitness Hawaii are built on what actually worked across all of those hours on the floor.
It comes down to three ideas.
1. Strength is the foundation
Getting stronger makes everything else easier: carrying groceries, playing with your kids, hiking, staying injury-free. Every program we write is built around strength training, scaled to where you are today.
2. Habits beat intensity
A workout that leaves you wrecked for three days is not a better workout. We would rather you train well two or three times a week for a year than go all-out for three weeks and quit. Sustainable lifestyle habits, like sleep, food and steady movement, matter as much as what happens in the studio.
3. Coaching keeps you consistent
Most people don't need more information. They need someone who notices their form, adjusts the plan when life gets busy, and expects them to show up. That's what a coach is for.
How that looks in each program
- **Small Group:** structured, coached strength sessions with a small crew
- **Semi-Private:** your own program and progress tracking, training alongside 2–4 others
- **Private 1-on-1:** fully customized coaching built around your body, injuries and schedule
- **Nutrition:** practical habits that support your training
Help people move better, feel better, and live stronger.
That's the mission, whether I'm coaching on the floor or working behind the scenes. If it sounds like the kind of training you've been missing, book a free strategy call.
